People in their Diversity

I need support in and around the railway station.
Who can I turn to?

In and around Bielefeld main station there are many people looking for support:

In search for support are people who cannot manage to travel on their own, but also homeless people or those struggling with addiction. Whatever your problem is when you come to the station: we always have an open ear and are happy to support you.

  • We offer accompanied travel to children and people who need help with travelling
  • We offer shelter to people who need somewhere to stay
  • We give advice and information to people in need
  • Our welfare agencies refer people to the social services of the city of Bielefeld in serious cases
  • We offer, besides counselling, also church services and lectures

As a matter of course, we listen patiently to people because we want to show them that we take them seriously – this is part of the way we see ourselves.  The Bielefeld Bahnhofsmission is funded jointly by the Diakonie für Bielefeld and the Caritas Association.
